This article analyzes the Russian car market. The dynamics of sales in this market over the period 2008-2014 gg., shows the e ects of the economic sanctions imposed by the United States and Western Europe against Russia, on the development of this market. We studied the performance of sales of cars in Russia for 9 months of 2015 and are forecast to change in this indicator in 2022.
The dynamics of the car market in Russia is unstable. After the crisis of 2008 there was a decrease in activity in the market, since 2010, the trend of his recovery, but in 2013, in contrast to the global dynamics of the Russian car market began to decline again. It was due to the current macroeconomic situation in the Russian economy as a whole, associated with falling incomes, the weakening of the ruble, which resulted in a signi cant rise in price of new cars. It should be noted that in 2014, the dynamics of sales of cars has changed three times. First, under the in uence of the current program of car lending market has grown, and then due to the worsening geopolitical situation occurred market downturn at the end of the year in the conditions of sanctions and anticipation of rising prices sales of passenger cars increased again. For 9 months of 2015 there was a similar dynamics of sales of cars in Russia.
This situation has led to a mass exodus of foreign car manufacturers to the Russian market. So in 2015, in the Russian automotive concern Volkswagen stopped selling car brand SEAT, General Motors Company completed the production of automobiles Opel, of suspended exports of cars SsangYong, stopped deliv- eries of new Honda cars and its premium sub-brand Acura, BMW has postponed the construction of the assembly plant, Ford-Sollers stopped the work of its three plants.
Thus, further development of the Russian car market will depend on the geopolitical situation in oil prices, the ruble, government support measures and the cost of the car loan.
In this context, the study the Russian passenger car market in the current environment and determin- ing the prospects of its development is very important.
